Cam One Privacy Policy


Introduction
Cam One (we, us, our) complies with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 (the Act) and the policies required by Facebook and YouTube regarding personal data. Personal information refers to data about an identifiable individual (a natural person).
This privacy policy outlines how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information, including data collected through our Facebook and YouTube integrations.

Who We Collect Personal Information From

We collect personal information about you from:

  • you, when you provide that personal information to us, including via the mob and any related service, through any registration or subscription process, through any contact with us (e.g. telephone call or email), or when you buy or use our services and products

  • third parties where you have authorised this or the information is publicly available.

If possible, we will collect personal information from you directly.

How We Use Your Public Live Stream Content
When you publish a public live stream video, we log its public URL in our system. We do not store private or unlisted stream links.
We may use publicly available live stream content for marketing and promotional purposes.


Protecting Your Personal Information
We take reasonable security measures to safeguard your personal information from unauthorised access, alteration, loss, or misuse.
Data Retention and Deletion

We store your personal information for a period of time that is consistent with our business purposes. When the data retention period expires for a given type of data, we will delete or destroy it.

How to Request Data Deletion
If you wish to delete your personal data, including data related to your Facebook or YouTube app usage, follow these steps:
1. Submitting a Request

  • Email hello@camone.app with the subject: "Data Deletion Request".

  • Include:

    • Your full name

    • The email address linked to your Cam One account

    • A description of the data you want deleted (e.g., Facebook or YouTube data).

2. Identity Verification

  • We may require proof of identity to protect your data.

3. Processing Time

  • Once verified, we will delete your data within 30 days and confirm via email.

Note: Some data may be retained for legal, security, or contractual reasons before final deletion.


YouTube API Compliance
Cam One’s use of YouTube API Services is in accordance with YouTube’s Terms of Service and Google’s Privacy Policy.
By connecting your YouTube account to Cam One, you agree to YouTube’s Terms of Service (https://www.youtube.com/t/terms) and Google’s Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy).
Revoking YouTube Access:
You can revoke Cam One’s access to your YouTube data at any time:

  • Go to Google Security Settings.

  • Find "Cam One" in the list of apps.

  • Click "Remove Access" to revoke permissions.

If you also want your YouTube-related data deleted from Cam One, follow the Data Deletion Request steps above.


Accessing and Correcting Your Personal Information
You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.

  • Request corrections to inaccurate data.

Before granting access or making corrections, we may require identity verification. If we cannot make a correction, we will record that you requested it.
To make a request, email hello@camone.app with details. A small fee may apply for copies of your data.


Internet Use
We take steps to maintain secure internet connections, but online data transmission is at your own risk.
If you follow links to third-party websites, those sites have their own privacy policies, which we recommend reviewing before sharing data.
