How to score Badminton
A badminton match is played across a series of games.
A game is won by the first player or doubles team to reach 21 points, but they must win by at least two points.
If the score reaches 20-20, play continues until one player/team gains a two-point lead.
Matches are typically best-of-3 games.
Players switch court sides after each game and at 11 points during the third game.
A badminton scoreboard tracks two key things:
1️⃣ Points scored during a game – Points are added after every rally.
2️⃣ Games won in the match – The number of games won by each player/team.
