How to score Hockey
A hockey match is played across halves, thirds, or quarters, depending on competition rules.
Goals are scored when the ball is hit across the opponent’s goal line.
The team with the most goals at the end of the match wins.
If tied, matches may end as a draw in league play, or go to extra time and penalties in knockout competitions.
A hockey scoreboard tracks three key things:

2️⃣ Match timer – tracks elapsed time.
3️⃣ Current period – which half, third, or quarter is being played.
