How to score Softball
A softball game is played across nine inningsĀ (or fewer in some formats).
Runs are scored when a player successfully reaches home plate after rounding all four bases.
The team with the most runs at the end of the game wins.
If the score is tied after nine innings, extra innings are played until there is a winner.
Each inning has two halves: one team bats while the other fields, then they switch roles.
A softball scoreboard tracks four key things:
